  • How often do I need to have my home cleaned?

    A: Everclean Maid Service offers a variety of options when it comes to how often you would like your home cleaned. We provide weekly, bi-weekly, tri-weekly, and monthly cleaning service.

  • What is included in a standard cleaning?

    A: Standard cleaning takes into account everything that involves cleaning a home or apartment.  Cleaning/vacuuming floors, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dusting, etc.  We do offer extra services like cleaning inside the fridge and inside the oven, and those can be selected on the booking form when you select service.

  • What is included in a Move Out / Move In cleaning?

    uncleaned carpets, and other areas that have been hidden by furniture for quite some time.   Please note that if renting, we are unable to guarantee your deposit. In addition, your cleaning professional is unable to move heavy furniture or climb ladders, as per our safety policy.

  • What supplies do you use?

    A: Everclean Maid Service cleaners are equipped with safe, family and pet friendly supplies. Please let us know if you would like to provide your own special supplies by adding a note to your account after you book.

  • Do you offer Green cleaning?

    A: If you would like to request a full green cleaning service please select this service on the booking form at checkout.

  • Difference between the initial / one time cleaning and recurring cleanings?

    A: Recurring Cleaning

    Everclean Maid Service offers weekly, bi-weekly (every two weeks), or monthly cleaning at a discounted rate.  These cleanings are automatically scheduled on the same day and time based on the interval you select. We send a reminder email and text message to let you know of upcoming cleanings and at any time you can log into your account to skip or reschedule service.

    One-Time Cleaning

    You can schedule one-time cleanings at any time. Please note discounts are available for recurring cleaning (and with recurring cleaning you benefit from convenient recurring service with the same cleaning professional(s))

  • What payments do you take / how do I pay?

    A: Everclean Maid Service accepts credit/debit card and check payments for service; however, your card is not charged until after service is completed.  Please note that on the day before service a pre-authorization hold is made to your card. This is just a hold even though some banks may show this as a charge.  The final charge takes place after your service is completed.

  • What hours do you clean, and can I pick the day I would like to have service?

    A: Everclean Maid Service’s hours of operations are Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Our last scheduled service starts at 4:30 pm. Once on the booking page, you can select what date you would like to have your cleaning schedule based upon availability. We do not provide service on Saturday or Sunday.

  • What if I need to cancel a cleaning?

    A: Please login to your account to cancel your booking.  Please note that there is a $70 cancellation fee if cancellation is made after 5pm on the day before service.  Alternatively, you can contact us here and let us know.

  • What if I need to reschedule a cleaning?

    A: If it is at least 24 hours before service, please login to your account and select a new date.  Alternatively, you can contact us here and let us know.

  • Who provides the cleaning products and equipment?

    A: We bring our own cleaning supplies but please let us know if you have any special requests and we would be happy to accommodate you if possible.  Alternatively, we can use green products if you would prefer.  Please let us know if you would prefer green cleaning services so we can plan for this.

  • Do I need to sign a contract?

    A: No need to sign a contract for residential cleaning. We want you to keep us because you love us!

  • What if something gets damaged during the cleaning process?

    A: If something goes wrong, we’re here to make it right. Please let us know right away and we’ll be there to take care of it.  That’s our promise to you!

  • Do I have to be home when the cleaning professionals come?

    A: That is completely up to you. Some people prefer to be home when we are cleaning, and on the other hand, some people prefer to leave, both are fine with us. Most of our clients simply provide us with a key, and we lock up when we are finished.

  • How do you clean my home if I’m not there to let you in?

    A: If you will not be home to let us in, we ask that you provide us with a key and, if necessary, an alarm code. All keys are numbered, never labeled, and kept securely locked in our office until the day of your cleaning. If you choose not to provide us with a key and we are unable to access your home for a scheduled cleaning, you will be accessed a lockout fee of $50.

    Many people don’t think about parking when talking about access to your home, but if you live in an area where parking is a challenge, we do require a place to park close to your home so your cleaning is uninterrupted by trips to the parking meter.

  • Will I get the same team every time?

    A: We make every effort to send the same team to your home for every cleaning. Occasionally a member of your team may be sick or have a day off, in which case we will send a cleaning professional who has been in your home before

  • What if my cleaning falls on a holiday?

    A: If your scheduled cleaning falls on one of these holidays, we will contact you prior to the holiday to reschedule your cleaning.

  • Can I tip my cleaning team?

    A: Our staff loves to receive tips as a sign that you are pleased with the cleaning and appreciate their hard work, but tips are neither expected nor required. Also helpful is a Google+, Facebook, or Yelp review. This tells not only your cleaners but also the office staff about the great job they are doing in your home. The cleaning team just wants to know that the work they did met or exceeded your expectations.

  • Do I need to do anything before you come to clean?

    A: Please put important items and papers away, pick up, file, and generally tidy up so our team members can do our job well. If things are left out it will be harder for us to clean surfaces, and you definitely don’t want to risk us putting things where you may have a hard time finding them later.

  • Do you take out the trash?

    A: Yes, we will take out the trash after finishing the cleaning of your home.

  • What if we are unhappy with the service?

    A: If you’re not content with your cleaning, we will come out and re-clean (within a 7 day window). If you still don’t think we did a good enough job to recommend us to your friends, we’ll refund your money.

  • Are you licensed/ insured /bonded?

    A: Yes, we are fully licensed, Bonded, and Insured.

  • How long we’ve been in business?

    A: Everclean Maid Service has been in business for over 30 years serving the northern virginia area.

  • Do we work weekends?

    A: We do not work weekends, our hours of operation is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

    are we comfortable with pets in the house?

    A: Absolutely, as pet owners ourselves, we love pets! All we ask is that the day of service please have your pets in their own area so the cleaning team can be their most efficient.

  • How many people come in a team?

    A: Everclean Maid Service sends teams of 2-3 people depending on the work load.

  • Do we do windows?

    A: Yes, Everclean Maid Service does provide window cleaning services.

  • Do the ladies speak English?

    A: Yes, feel free to ask the team supervisor any questions and or concerns.

  • How long will the cleaners take to clean my home?

    A: This all depends on the size of your home and if this is the first time Everclean Maid Service is cleaning your home. Typically it can take anywhere from 1-3 hours.
